Ben Jones (Isle of Sheppey, UK) and Andrea Magee (Belfast, Ireland) formed the band Beat Root Revival and moved to Austin in 2014. They are such an integral part of our music scene that we forget how difficult it is for them to STAY IN AMERICA!

Nobody knows that they have spent almost $100,000 for immigration lawyers and visa fees in the past decade.

Immigration has become front-page news in America. For Ben and Andrea, the risk of deportation is real. The renewal fees for an O-1 visa are now $10,200 for EACH of them.

Judy and Art Gressel know that Austin music fans want them to stay in Austin! We are hosting a benefit at Donn’s Depot to help pay for their visas.

Ben and Andrea have given their time and talent to many nonprofits, including HAAM (Health Alliance for Austin Musicians and the SIMS Foundation: SIMS Home

Andrea Magee’s nonprofit, Music Helps to provide healing through music for those suffering from trauma.
